Active Business Card

Curently when a person wants to use the information written on a business card, this person must first manually enter this information in the system of his choice : personal computer, mobile phone, electronic agenda, etc. This manual process is prone to errors and is tedious.

The present publication uses a business card with an embeded RFID (Radio Frequency IDentifier) tag comprising personal information such as address, e-mail, phone number. The usage of the information comprised in the RFID embeded in the business card can be multiple: the update of an electronic agenda the automatic dial of a phone number on a mobile phone the sending of the information in an e-mail attachement etc.

The personal information existing on a business card is written onto a RFID chip (a specific electronic format can be defined). Once this information is written in the RFID chip embedded in the Business Card, anyone having a RFID reader can easily read and use this information.
