Updating chat text

The use of chat windows have allowed people to communicate more freely. Currently when chatting with someone, there is no way to correct a message after it has been sent. The only way to correct the message is to write a new message. To solve this problem, the user will be allowed to modify the text after it has been sent by highlighting the history text they want to change and retype it. A change bar on the changed line will indicate that the line of text was changed. Also the text that was changed will be indicated by either an underline or a method similar to other programs which keep track of changes. Both parties of the conversation can update the chat history section of the window. This allows users to make changes to the text even after it has been sent without having to rewrite and send a new message. Hand shaking will be required and notifications of updates will need to be sent when a change is made so the other connected chat interfaces can update the change in the window.
