Abstract

This concept is to enhance the front of the feeder tray drawers to have a transparent plastic area to hold a sample of the stock loaded in the tray. This would allow the operator, when loading a stock, to slip a sample behind the plastic to provide a quick visual check of loaded stock. The plastic section will sit slightly out from the main part of the drawer in order to allow an operator to insert a sample of the stock into the area. This will give visibility of the loaded stock.

Built-in transparent holder for stock loaded in printer feeder drawer

In order to do a quick visual check of how a printer stock was setup, the operator previously has needed to open each feeder.  Alternatively, some users tape a sample of the stock to the outside of the tray.

The form of the clear plastic should have a top edge scallop so that an operator can remove the old piece of paper quickly when reloading the drawer.
