Abstract

Some types of toner build up on stripper fingers causing image defects and jams. This invention describes a "Cleaning Routine" enabled through software. By stopping and starting the fuser roll multiple times, toner material built up on the stripper finger contact surface and roll surface is dislodged and collected on the fuser web.
