Disclosed Anonymously

When giving a PowerPoint presentation, a lot of people find themselves having to go back to the computer and click the mouse to change slides. This is annoying and wastes time.

Using your mobile device to change between slides would be a great invention because you would not have to go back to the PC at all. You could also change slides from the back of the room or from the side (if you are in a theatre).

There are products that you can plug into your USB and use a remote to change between slides. That solution requires more parts and is bulky to carry around everywhere. Most of the time, these device don't work because they have frequency interference with other wireless devices (e.g., wireless microphone).

Here’s how it can be done:

On the Desktop/Laptop:

1.)   Write an application that can connect to the handheld.

2.)   Write an application that can receive commands from the handheld and execute them on the desktop… i.e. open certain files.

On the Handheld:

1.)   Write an application that connects to the desktop using an IP address

2.)   This application can be used to send commands to the desktop.
