Abstract

One of the problems with multi-language devices is that application hotkeys (if they are mnemonic ones) are language-specific. But in different languages, the mnemonics are different and, in addition, they can be in different scripts. So typing hotkey Alt-L in Greek will not be possible. In order to solve this problem, we propose to create language-specific resource bundles of the hotkeys for each application. So when the input locale is changed, the appropriate hotkeys resources are loaded. This allows one to use mnemonics in all the languages and not depend on the same script.
