In the present age the amount of email that is received by an individual in a day could be in the thousands, making it necessary for email clients to present data in such a way that the user can browse through important emails fast. Currently most email clients, whether web based or stand alone program requires the user to click on the email in order to read it, or sort the emails in some fashion in order to get the complete thread of discussion. Sorting emails have its own advantages and disadvantages. Similarly a threaded display of discussion threads like from a mailing list can look ugly.

But if this information could be made available dynamically without sorting emails by subject or sender as they arrive, and keeping the chronological order of emails intact, it will make email browsing and reading important emails and discussion threads easy for a user. This invention describes such an email information display method.

An Email client (web based or stand alone application) displays information when the user moves his mouse over (and rests the mouse over ) certain key fields in the inbox screen (or email body), detailed information is displayed in a form box. Key fields in an email may be 1. Senders name 2. senders email address 3. subject 4. time and date etc.
