General Description

The disclosed method adds a carriage and mechanical lift assembly (made of a soft material, such as Teflon) to the existing pedestal design. The carriage allows individuals to slide anti-static bags over both the FOSB and the carriage at the same time. The mechanical lift assembly is then used to lift the shipping container approximately two inches, while surrounded by the anti-static bag. The mechanical lift assembly is comprised of four “pistons” that are raised through the center of the U-shaped carriage, which push up on both the anti-static bag (there is enough slack in the bag to allow it to move up with the FOSB) and the FOSB. After the FOSB is raised, the carriage is pulled out from between the FOSB and the anti-static bag. After the carriage is completely extended, the FOSB remains suspended in the air. The carriage is then moved underneath the FOSB and bag, and the mechanical lift lowers the FOSB onto the carriage.  The carriage carries the FOSB and bag to a vacuum bagger that removes the air from...
