In gas turbines LCV (Low Calorific Value) gas fuel post is located just outside swirler air passage entrance in gas turbines. As mass flow of fuel is increased it draws in additional primary air. Claimed that on turn down the effect of the fuel stream on airflow becomes less and thus a progressively fuel rich mixture is obtained, which is useful at low load to maintain flame stability.
