Background

      The conventional procurement module of enterprises supplier management software enables a user to change the default settings only at the beginning of the shopping transaction. The changes are applied to all line items added to the shopping basket. Users do not have the capability to change the information for selected line items.

Description

      The disclosed method is multi-line field editing. The method adds checkboxes in front of each line item in a shopping cart application. Additionally, the method adds the capability to select all or none of the line items and a pushbutton that navigates to the multi-line edit screens. A user must select at least two line items to be able to use this functionality.

      For example, the user selects at least two line items and clicks on the multi-edit pushbutton. A screen displays the items to be edited. Fields for the items include the following:

•     Product category

•     Currency

•     Delivery date

•     Preferred supplier

•     Suggested supplier detail

•     Accounting details
