Abstract

SLT or SMAP (System Monitoring and Application Process) Local Terminal is a Motorola tool used in monitoring and evaluating the performance of UTRAN systems. It is a GUI-based application that logs call trace data from the network elements in a UTRAN, namely the RNC and NodeB.

This paper talks about how SLT can be used as an effective tool to perform call trace testing at the System Test level to monitor RNC and NodeB stream events, as well as collecting UTRAN network traffic measurement reports at predefined intervals.
