   The method of front tracking is applied to problems involving curved detonation fronts, surface instabilities and two-dimensional Riemann prob- lems. The detonation problems include detonation fronts with and without cylindrical symmetry; comparisons with one-dimexlsional models are made. The analysis of interface instabilities focuses on the compressible Rayleigh- Taylor instability of a supersonic accelerated contact discontinuity between two gases and the propagation of a supersonic slab jet.
