SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR DELIVERING PLANNED SERVICES AND ADVERTISEMENTS

Field of the Invention

[0001]           The present invention relates to advertising frameworks, and more particularly to targeted advertising.

Background

[0002]           Presently, typical target advertising systems require either information on the services that a particular user is currently using, or information on services that the user has selected in the past.  However, target advertising systems which rely on information describing the user’s currently-used services require complicated technology.  For example, cable operators are often unable to easily offer on-demand advertisement insertion to programs, because of the complexity of the process as well as the load that the process puts on the cable provider’s systems.

[0003]           Additionally, target advertising systems which rely on information describing the services that the user has selected in the past provide ineffective and sometimes inaccurate targeting.  For instance, services that the user has selected in the past may not accurately reflect the present situation and/or requirements of the user.  Therefore, providing target advertising based on past performance may be inaccurate.

[0004]           There is thus a need for addressing these and/or other issues associated with the prior art.

SUMMARY
