Abstract

Disclosed is a billing system which rigorously calculates usage amount for every function of the distributed services. In this idea, billing data is generated based on information stored in the service integrated infrastructure, such as a user operation log, number of printed pages etc. which are output according to operations from web browser. As a result, the system for billing depending on use is realized. The user operation log is a log to which an application ID for identifying the service request to the system is assigned, and is output to a server at the time of the response from a service. In this idea, the information regarding the number of use for every service function is acquired by assigning an application ID. Furthermore, the organization code to identify a user is assigned and output as a user operation log with the application ID.

As a result, the system for billing depending on use is realized.

The user operation log is a log to which an application ID for identifying the service request to the system is assigned, and is output to a server at the time of the response from a service.

In this idea, the information regarding the number of use for every service function is acquired by assigning an application ID.

Furthermore, the organization code to identify a user is assigned and output as a user operation log with the application ID.

In this user operation log, the execution result (OK/NG) for every service function is also included, and the amount of use for every application ID can be acquired for each organization code based on this information.

As for the number of printed pages, the number of pages for every printout ID is output to a server as a printing result, at the time of print execution (there are roughly two types, "the print request from a screen" and "an automatic output from the system").

As well as the operation log, the organization code for identifying a user is assigned and managed.

Based on such information, the amount of usage for every printout ID is acquirable for each organization code.

The user operation log is output whenever the screen is returned to browser from a server. Also, whenever the user prints out through a printer, a number of pages is output to a printing result table.

A server includes a user authentication part, a user operation log generating part, a user operation log editing part, a printing result generating part, and a printing result editing part. Moreover, the server contains extraction object and organization information as a calculation property for generating billing data.

The billing and collecting system has a bill calculation part, and billing and collecting data are calculated based on a unit price and the billing data.

The user operation log generating part generates the user operation log based on the session information of the server.

The printing result generating part calculates a number of pages at the time of printing data transmission to a printing assistance module, and generates printing result information.

FIG. 2 illustrates the process flow of outputting the user operation log .
