) lead location of a patient prior to placement of an atrial lead during an implant operation.  The method includes acquiring access to an ECG signal of the patient without interrupting the ECG path of existing equipment in use during the implant event, detecting the P-wave through any number of methods well known in the art, and triggering pace pulses on a LV lead, a right ventricle (RV) lead or LV and RV leads to accomplish biventricular pacing before implantation of an atrial lead.
