Title:

Ultimate User friendly widget creator for the average user

Description of the Invention:

This special concept targets the average user who has no knowledge of programming.

This concept allows the average user to customize a pre-written widget to display a more personal feel.

With this concept, the user will be able to create their own widget using an existing template, thus providing a greater sense of ownership of the widget and the TV.

An advanced user can make his/her widget more interesting simply by having good picture editing skills, as opposed to programming knowledge, while a basic user can make his/her widget more interesting simply by inserting a personal picture or grab some suitable ones off the internet.

Example 1: Wallpaper Widget.

The user will be able to use their own images as the wallpaper as opposed to a default wallpaper.

Example 2: Animated Screen Saver Widget.

The widget prompts the user for all the required images which replaces the default ones. The functionality of the widget remains the same, and only the appearance differs. This means that an aquarium theme can be changed to a desert theme, even though the code for the screen saver remains the same.
