Abstract

This disclosure is about actively (real time) notify sender the "Out of Office" status of receiver. A sender can know the receiver is "Out of Office" when sender type the sender email address in email sending list. Sender will not need to wait for the "Out of Office" notification by the system. The sender can also leave a message to receiver using Domino Unified Communications.

Actively out-of-office notification with leaving message system in a single corporate e-mail system

     In our business daily work, we always use email for commication. Email a store and forward method of composing, sending, receiving and storing messages over electronic communication systems. If users work for the same company, the entire transaction may happen completely within a single corporate e-mail system, like *IBM Lotus Domino, users may use a client connected to this e-mail system. Sender send a email to receiver. If the receiver is out of office, the sender will get a "Out of Office" notification from email system. Because the receiver is enable "Out of Office" agent in his "Mail Box", this cause the responsing of "Our of Office" message. The sender is passively notified by the system, the message will take more time transfer from system to sender as specially the company is a international company. It will has time delay for the "Out of Office" message notification. Sender may need to wait one day to get "Out of Office" notification from the system.
