Context based display of POI's in a GPS car navigation system

Current GPS navigation systems in cars have the option to display certain Points of Interest on the map based on user preferences. This is helpful at times but sometimes it clutters the user interface. The user has to manually turn them on and off. The solution we describe applies the contextual information to control the user interface.
