Abstract

Microphones for hearing aids are usually glued on the faceplates. For this purpose, the faceplate is provided with a hole in which the microphone is set. However, gaps between the microphone and the faceplate can emerge so that the microphone is bent to one side. Therefore, it is proposed to use the damping material in order to close the gaps. Furthermore it is proposed to apply the damping material in two ways: 1. The damping material is applied around the stud of the microphone in form of a ring. The glue can be applied around the damping material such as it is depicted in Figure 1. 2. The damping material can also be applied in form of balls like it is shown in Figure 2. The balls are then placed between the microphone and the faceplate. After having placed the balls, the rest of the gap can be filled up with glue.
