Most of the time, when a user is travelling by car and listenning the radio, the Radio Data System is helping him to follow the Radio Station he wants to listen to. When travelling in some specific areas, the radio frequency may change and may swap from one side of the frequency zone to the opposite side. In this case, the radio RDS system is searching the new frequency and the user may have a bad reception during this search process.

And in this case, during a similar journey, when the user is listening the same radio station, this process is performed exactly the same way.

    The proposed system provides a method to enhance the Radio Data System, and in particular the fast changing of stations based on geolocalisation .

    As shown on Figure 1, the car radio is detecting the start of the radio frequency search.

Information is sent to car computer and the GPS references are memorized into the Fast Change Table, with Radio title and new frequency.
