FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The invention relates to a light weight, reusable , controllable and a universal Rational

ClearQuest plugin for IBM Sametime.

BACKGROUND:
Currently, There are two ways to access Rational ClearQuest database by using ClearQuest

client or through ClearQuest Web interface. The ClearQuest client is a tool which you take time

and skills to install and configure everywhere before you can use it.  ClearQuest Web interface

needs you to remember the host name and port of the Query service. What is needed is a

convenient, speedy, and integrated  tool.

SUMMARY:
This disclosure shows the technique for building a convenient, speedy, and integrated

ClearQuest plugin for Lotus Sametime.

Fig. 1 shows the preferred technique to access Rational ClearQuest DB. There are three users

who have IBM Sametime connect installed on their laptop or desktop. They don't need to install

other things such as Rational ClearQuest client or Rational ClearQuest api package. The access

can be made within both internet and intranet.
