Abstract

With this product we want to address the problem of the separation of virtual information and interaction in the real world. We propose a solution which enables users to use information residing on computer systems in everyday social interaction. We do this by augmenting reality, showing information belonging to a specific individual ?floating? near that individual. In this way, people can see relevant information concerning a specific person up front and they can use this information in their social interaction.

Prior art and problem solved by the invention .

With this product we want to address the problem of the separation of virtual information and interaction in the real world. We propose a solution which enables users to use information residing on computer systems in everyday social interaction. We do this by augmenting reality, showing information belonging to a specific individual 'floating' near that individual. In this way, people can see relevant information concerning a specific person up front and they can use this information in their social interaction.

Currently social networking platforms are attempting the same, allowing people to share their personal information with one another. However, this information is not easily accessible in everyday social life. One needs to be behind a computer or any other device capable of accessing the internet. Furthermore you can only view the information of one specific person at a time, instead of many persons at once, which is what we propose.

Summary of the invention.

The proposed product consists of a device which is able to capture and display the environment, while in between the capturing and displaying it is able to annotate any human beings in the picture with contextually relevant information which they have stored on their device.

The advantage is that you can use our device in any social context without the need of breaking conversation to look up information as it is presented to the user on demand and in real-time.
