System and method to profile ads for user based on images sharing

Most of the time now, people are sharing they images via online tools and servers, such as Flickr or Picasa web.

These images are a major source of information. For now, this information is unused for profiling purposes.

    According to the proposed method, information is extracted from the pixels of the images. Image recognition techniques enable to classify images thanks to probabilistic approaches. Keywords are associated to a given image and image similarity enables to propagate keywords. Keywords can be generated automatically. The proposed method also uses annotations created by the user (or annotations present in social networks, by friends for example), as well as GPS information and image metadata.

    The proposed method and system displays targeted ads corresponding to the profile of the user. Displayed ads corresponding the the profile of the user are indeed targeted ads ; and following it prevents said user from using adblockers and/or skipping ads because of a satisfactory relevancy of proposed ads.
