Reliability and Load Test Advisor

When planning a performance , reliability or load test run, most parameters of the test run are entered as a baseline and then adjusted on later runs in order to achieve a target result. This can be time consuming and usually hit or miss when strict test requirements exist on goals.

The concept here is to, during script and schedule development, calculate key settings if the CPU target and any others are entered based on the test equipment and the target environment:
- CPU targets (required)
- Peak hour transaction rate (pages per second)
- Peak Virtual Users
- Think-Time
- Log Settings (accounts for overhead on the test equipment and size of equipment)
