Most of the time, when people are visiting someone in a co-ownership residence, the only interface available to gain access to the visited person is an intercom device. However such existing system presents several drawbacks:

- Using an intercom is not easy for visitor having a handicap.
- When the visited person is not answering to the intercom call (if she/he does not want to answer or she/he is not in the apartment), this provides the caller with information that could be used in a fraudulent way.
- The intercom system makes no differentiation between persons living in the same apartment.
- There is no history or log stored of calling visitors.

The present system provides with a general and generic solution to the aforementioned drawbacks.

System and method description:

The proposed system is based on having the intercom calls transferred to the mobile of the visited person via voice recognition interface. Figure 1 below is a schematic representation of the method operated by the proposed system.
