Description

In the daily work of knowledge workers, they always run into this case where they don't understand clearly and completely

                              (e.g. email) because some strange terms or new technologies are mentioned, they always resort to search related knowledge in various knowledge bases, such as local file system, Internet, Knowledge Management system, Database, Enterprise Resource Planning System, Business Intelligence System, etc. Imaginably, It is obviously time consuming to find all matched knowledge from the huge collection of these available knowledge bases, the manual knowledge search costs much time of knowledge workers in daily work, additionally, the manual knowledge search is ineffective and easy to forget searching one of knowledge bases. This disclosure provides a method and system to automate knowledge provisioning to knowledge workers without manual knowledge search, it never forgets to search any available knowledge base. when knowledge worker opens a document

                                        (e.g. a mail, a task item) or opens a dialog, he/she needn't search manually the related knowledge from all available knowledge bases, a background application should have searched out the related knowledge items automatically based on the tag/keyword/metadata of the document. Definitely, this automatic knowledge provisioning can save time of knowledge worker by avoiding heavily manual searching

Prerequisite:

1.

Application client must have tagging/keyword/metadata capability, and all client entries have been tagged or marked keyword or

assigned metadata, client entry can be an email, a web conference, an assigned new task, a common activity, etc.

Application client needs an extension

                           (or plugin) to exchange data with Knowledge Provisioning Engine (KPE), the extension can be implemented by provider of application client or Independent Software Vendor (ISV)

Data flow:

1. Tags or keywords or metadata, they are automatically collected and sent to KPE by the extension
