Abstract

In healthcare applications, hybrid systems become more and more important. With hybrid systems, the advantages of different modalities can be combined as for example the high spatial resolution of MRI (MRI: Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and the high sensitivity of PET (PET: Positron Emission Tomography). However, the combination of different modalities is very complex due to the amount of produced data and its exact classification. Up to now, there exists no easy data synchronization for integrated hybrid scanners.
