Abstract

Disclosed is a System Engineering Workbench (SE Workbench). The SE Workbench is a system requirements management tool that is methodology-customizable and user centric. The SE Workbench also delivers automatic systems engineering measurements and scorecards. Further, the SE Workbench provides a central repository for requirements, test cases and change request information that is spread across multiple toolsets.

Systems Engineering Workbench (SE Workbench)

Disclosed is a System Engineering Workbench (SE Workbench). The SE Workbench is a system requirements management tool that is methodology-customizable and user centric. The SE Workbench also delivers automatic systems engineering measurements and scorecards. Further, the SE Workbench provides a central repository for requirements, test cases and change request information that is spread across multiple toolsets.

The SE Workbench facilitates end to end (E2E) Systems Engineering Governance by bridging gap between requirements management tooling and system engineering activities and artifacts. It is customizable for any client-specific requirements management methodology. Fig. 1 illustrates a block diagram of the SE Workbench.

As illustrated in Fig. 2, the SE Workbench enables a client to bridge the gap between the client's internal software development methodologies and fully automated SE Governance.

The SE Workbench captures and traces requirements and test cases at all levels of the "V-Model". Further, it enforces compliance of a client's own requirements traceability methodology and reduces the number of tools required to analyze requirements quality and trac...
