Hearing Aid with Mode for Hearing Improvement

Idea: Kristy Lim, SG-Singapore

Hearing loss may occur due to different reasons, for example a viral infection, frequent exposure to loud noises, or simply aging. Until now, hearing has been improved with technical means in these cases, for example using hearing aids.

A novel hearing aid mode provides a tune which helps to focus on one person's internal hearing. Internal hearing is the ability to hear what we want to hear by specifically focusing on some sound and tuning out the rest. By focusing to the artificial produced tune of the hearing aid, the user can accomplish this capability thus improving his or her hearing.

The advantage of the proposed solution is that wearing of a hearing aid serves also to improve person's natural hearing.
