Abstract

The Principle of deferring sending (P.D.S.) is a method which by combining client software and software of companies, offering electronic services it will be possible to send SMS, MMS, E-mails and other kind of electronic communications in some future period of time without need of sender to remember its obligation to do it and when the recipient/recipients receive the electronic communication (at the time of the receipt), there is not need the electronic devices or hardware of the sender to be switch on, to be connected with Internet or to be within the range (scope) of mobile network operators. The sending will be done from different software platforms. This method avoids a large part of disadvantages of realized by now software solutions. I describe the idea for the following cases: 1. The Principle of Deferred Sending (P.D.S.) can be inculcate to the producers of system software for e-mail - server part (Mail/E-Mail Server) and to the producers of system software for e-mail – client part (Mail/E-mail Client) 2. The Principle of Deferred Sending (P.D.S.) can be inculcate to the suppliers of Web-based E-mail Server 3. The Principle of Deferred Sending (P.D.S.) can be inculcate on the deliverers of mobile services and producers of software for mobile services, producers of mobile devices, software of mobile devices

Principle of Deferred Sending (P.D.S.) in electronic communications - SMS, MMS, e-mails and other

My idea is engendered by my hard experience in

Bulgaria

during the big National and International Holidays and my desire to great my relatives, friends and colleagues through different SMS*, MMS**, e-mails or another kind of electronic communications***. I met the frequent inability to fulfill my wish because of professional or another commitment that bring to delay or to forget to send different messages or e-mails. Some of you are run also into the problem of impossibility to send different kind of electronic communications to the receivers during the big and large pressure of network of the mobile operators, or because out of range or not sending of e-mails because of  forgetting, pressure of work, temporary difficulties with Internet etc.

Description of the idea:

In many in the cases, to use the option “Do Not Deliver Before” when sending an e-mail, which is realized by Microsoft Office Outlook and other similar software product, is impossible or improper. So I think that in all systems that work with SMS,MMS, e-mail and another kind of electronic communications is very good idea to implement and start use Principle of Deferred Sending (P.D.S).

This is general principle for the all below mentioned cases.

Part I

To inculcate The Principle of Deferred Sending (P.D.S.) on the producers of software for e-mail – client part (Mail/E-Mail Client), the producers of software for e-mail – server part (Mail/E-Mail Server) and the deliverers of web based e-mail services

To this moment there exists an option “Do Not Deliver Before” in Microsoft Office Outlook. This option has its place and its useful application.

In this case e-mail stays in position of stand by in the system of sender. When the initiated date and time come, the client software automatically tries to send it to the recipient or recipients. But realization the option “Do Not Deliver Before” in this way has а risk because the sender is dependent of lots of unexpected factors: to forget to activate the email; troubles with internet connection, software and hardware problems connected to the used technique, the duty computer to be on, ...
