Description

Disclosed is a method and system for displaying real-time comparative shopping information via targeted advertising.

The method and system disclosed herein, collects product or service information and information on user segments to be targeted from different vendors or advertisers.  The vendors or advertisers are allowed to bid for particular user segments.  The product or service information includes a list of prices for the products or services targeted at different user segments.  Subsequently, the method and system generates an ad in real time based on the product or service information and the user segment information.  The ad generated, provides price information of products or services from different vendors, thereby providing users a comparison shopping experience.  In an instance, the ad may be generated and served by a third party provider providing comparison shopping experience.
