Method of Organizing and Presenting Applications and Documents while a User

manages Several Different Tasks

Disclosed is a method of organizing and presenting applications and documents while a user manages several different tasks.

Typically, users use multiple applications to work, learn, communicate and to keep in contact with other users around the world. So when there are many applications open at once it is easy to get confused and lose track of what the user was doing. When a person is very busy and distracted, the person may find it difficult to go back to what the person was doing. For example, a user may be working on multiple applications and documents at a time in a day. Prior to a meeting or during a meeting the user may have to have access multiple applications and documents. In such a scenario, the user may have to waste a lot of time in routing appropriate applications and documents related to the meeting.

The method disclosed herein organizes and presents various applications to a user using various techniques such as, color coding applications such as, chats and messages. This enables the user to identify the applications easily while managing several different tasks. For example, by color coding applications and documents, a user may easily progress for projects and meetings by identifying the relevant applications and documents without wasting time for re-grouping the applications and documents that are necessary for the projects and the meetings. The method uses calendar and scheduling information to choose applications, attachments and messages that are necessary for the meetings and highlights these in relevant colors in a user interface (UI). In an instance, the applications and documents necessary for the meeting may be stored in the calendar or any scheduling application so that these applications and documents may be clearly marked for the meeting.

For example, a user may have a patent meeting at 15:00 as shown below in fig. 1.
