This invention is to link shopping carts of different shoppers and ship them together to the adjacent address areas, in order to save shipping cost for the shoppers by leveraging the Social Commerce platform. According to the authoritative analysis , lots of abandoned shopping carts are caused by high shipping charge . As the fuel resource is more and more expensive, shipping will cost more than before , and it will be more portion of a total shopcart charging . The shipping charge will be key differentiation for successful e -retailers. Currently there are some optimization in thetransportation system or logistic system. But this can only serve some of the problems . And since these optimization happens in order fulfillment time , this saving is not assessable in shopping cart phase , and can not attract shopper to improve customer loyalty .

This invention is to link shopping carts of different shoppers and ship them together to the adjacent address areas , in order to save shipping cost for the shoppers by leveraging the Social Commerce platform . Shopper can see the saving of shipping charge in the on -line store front when system suggests that there be possible "shipping together" orders. This is the optimization from front office comparing with the traditional back -end optimization happening in transportation system . And based on the emerging Social Commerce platform , shopper directly experiences saving of the on -line shopping charge via the approach this invention proposes .This will help to avoid the shopping cart abandonment, build the site traffic, and further improve the customer loyalty .

-- Leveraging the emerging Social Commerce platform , to achieve saving of the shipping charge . With the Web 2.0 Mash-up technology, this is easy to implement . -- At this point, the interactions are unlike existing BBS , and product review/comments,etc. The relationship, i.e, 'Orders targeted to ship to adjacent areas with shipping together ' will directly lead to calculation of the shipping charge in front -end computing of the e-Commerce application. This is really the frond -end computation technology to relief the burden of back -end system.
