Method for Analyzing and Categorizing Tasks of Technical Services Delivery Centers

Disclosed is a method and system for analyzing tasks (work activities) for one or more technical services delivery centers. Subsequently, one or more tasks are categorized as one of a value-add activity and a non-value-add activity.

The method disclosed herein automatically gathers information about one or more tasks performed in the one or more technical service delivery centers for creating a super set of all possible tasks that may be performed by the one or more technical delivery centers.

The super set of the tasks are presented as an online questionnaire to team members of the one or more technical service delivery centers.

The online questionnaire is configured to provide an option to a team member to view a list of all potential tasks and respond online as to whether a task is considered value-add or non value-add activity. The online questionnaire covers all competencies and service lines. If a task is not on the super set of the task, it is added to the super set. In an embodiment it is ensure that only "unique" tasks are added to the super set.

In accordance with the method disclosed herein, rules are defined to determine a priori whether task is considered as a value-add or a non value-add activity to help ensure correctness of responses and expedite data gathering.
