Disclosed is a method and system for displaying notes to a presenter in a private manner while the presenter is making a presentation.

In an embodiment, presentation software is configured to provide a private display layer which is not shared with the audience while making a presentation. The presentation may be shared with the audience over the internet or may be projected. While sharing the presentation, the private display layer is not shared with the audience, this enables a presenter to include notes in the private display layer and refer to the notes while making the presentation.

In another embodiment, a portion of a monitor screen is marked as private area. Further, a presentation software is configured in a manner such that whenever a presentation is shared with audience, any notes associated with the presentation is displayed in private area of the monitor screen. Therefore, the presenter can refer to the notes on the monitor screen without displaying/shared the notes with the audience.

The method and system disclosed herein enables a presenter to refer to notes associated with a presentation while making the presentation without displaying the notes to the audience.
