Abstract

A method and system for cataloging presentation slides is disclosed. The method and system enable a user to catalog (hereinafter referred as bookmark) a slide or a set of slides of a presentation in an organized fashion. A bookmark assists a user to quickly access a slide which is bookmarked when the user is working on a presentation at a later point of time.

Disclosed is a method and system for cataloging one or more slides of a presentation. The method and system disclosed herein extend the capabilities of office software used for viewing and developing presentations using a plug-in.

While viewing or creating a presentation, a user often comes across one or more slides of a presentation that the user may wish to bookmark in an organized fashion. Further, the user may wish to refer or use the one or more slides which are bookmarked while the user is working on the presentation or preparing a new presentation at a later point of time.

The method and system disclosed herein, facilitates a user to bookmark one or more slides of a currently opened presentation through a new context menu. The new context menu is provided by the plug-in associated with the office software used to view and develop presentations. In an instance, the plug-in gets loaded as soon a user access the office software. Thereafter, when the user selects one or more slides for bookmarking, the new context menu is made visible to the user. For example, the new context menu may be displayed upon right clicking the one or more slides selected by the user.

In response to selecting one or more slides, the plug-in allows the user to create a tag for the one or more slides selected by the user. Subsequently, the plug-in copies the one or more slides selected by the user to a user specific "Catalog" created...
