A method and system is disclosed for enabling a user to manage one or more software components in one or more mobile devices of the user. The user may remove and/or add software components to the one or more mobile devices as per the requirement. Therefore, the user can optimally manage resources of a mobile device for improved performance.

Devices

Disclosed is a method and system for enabling a user to manage one or more software components in one or more mobile devices of the user. The user may remove and/or add software components to the one or more mobile devices as per the requirement. Therefore, the user can optimally manage resources of a mobile device for improved performance. A mobile device can be for example, but not limited to a mobile phone, personal digital assistant and handheld computer.

Fig. 1 illustrates a Device-Agnostic User-Centric (DAUC) Mobile Technology Platform disclosed herein. The DAUC Mobile Technology Platform includes a software provider, a software library and a user system.

The software provider is an entity that provides a platform for a user to offload one or more software components of one or more mobile devices of the user. Further, the software provider also enables the user to add one or more new software components

as per the requirements of the user.

In order to provide one or more software components to the user, a software library is offered by the software provider to the user. The software library is situated in an internet cloud, and can be accessed from any internet-enableddevice (a user system as shown). Based on the user's choice, one or more software components from the software library can be added to the one or more mobile devices of the user. For example, the user may have one or mobile devices from different manufactures. Using the software library, the user may add one or more software components to the one or mobile devices irrespective of the manufacturer.

A user is required to register each mobile device with the software provider in order to access the software library. Fig. 2 illustrates method steps required to register each mobile device of the user.

As shown, a user creates an account with the software provider by providing user specific information to the software provider. Once the user becomes a registered user, the user registers each mobile device with the software provider. Each mobile device is verified by the software provider with a unique identifier corresponding to each mobile device. Once verified, a unique device-ID is provided to the user.
