Method and System for Modifying Audio Cadence based on Driver Behavior

Disclosed is a method and system for modifying audio cadence based on driver behavior.

Drivers are generally known to respond to audio cadence in their vehicles. A driver listening to music with a faster tempo is motivated to drive faster and a driver listening to music with a slower temp is motivated to drive slower. Therefore, the driver's behavior is influenced by audio cadence.

The method and system disclosed herein tracks parameters of a vehicle and status of a driver of the vehicle to determine driver behavior. Thereafter, based on the driver behavior, audio cadence is modified to normalize the driver behavior.

For example, if the driver is driving the vehicle beyond a speed limit for longer than a predefined time period, the method and system decreases the audio cadence. Similarly, if the driver is driving the vehicle below the speed limit, the audio cadence is increased. Further, the method and system disclosed herein may use Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine a location of the vehicle and corresponding speed limits permitted at the location.

Additionally, the method and system disclosed herein tracks status of the behavior to modify the audio cadence. For example, if the driver is drowsy, then the audio cadence is increased. Accordingly, if it is detected that the driver is no longer drowsy, the audio cadence is decreased.

Thus, the method and system prevents occurrence of a...
