Abstract

A program is disclosed by which video metadata information will be maintained in the centralized video metadata server. It means, video layer information will be maintained in that server. The video file will have the connection string of the said centralized video metadata server. So at any point of time, the video editor can add / remove different video layers without editing the video file. At the same time video file will be very light weight.

Flexible multi-layered video structure.

One video file can have multiple layers. For different reason multiple layers are introduced in the video file. Following are few examples of video having multiple layers.

Multilingual Video file. Multiple audio file with different languages are kept in different layers, so the user can choose his required language while playing the video.

Multi-format video-Multiple video (only the picture) files are kept in different layers, so that the user can change the direction of video (while listening to same audio content)

Following diagram (Figure 1) describes one multi layered video format. In this case at any point of time user can select only one Language. (For example, user A wants to view the video in Language 1, and user B wants to view the same in Language 4)
