Method and System for Automatically Enabling a Disabled Button

Disclosed is a method and system for automatically enabling a button upon detecting that the button is disabled. In order to enable the disabled button, appropriate security and role access is assigned to the disabled state of the button. The appropriate security and role access may be defined for each state of disablement of the button in the method and system disclosed herein.

Fig. 1 illustrates three buttons namely 'Back', 'Next', and 'Cancel'. Among these three buttons, 'Next' button is disabled; and 'Back' button and 'Cancel' button are active.

When a disabled button such as, 'Next' button is detected, the reason behind the disabled state of the button is identified. The reason may be displayed to a user. Additionally, actions are identified to enable the button. The identified actions are displayed to the user as illustrated in Fig. 2. These actions may facilitate the user to render the button enabled.

As illustrated in Fig. 2, a communication wizard has a disabled 'Next' button. In order to enable the 'Next' button, the method may display a pop-up window indicating that 'Next
