Abstract

Currently, some solutions have been provided to protect or retrieve information of the lost cell phone. These solutions provide various ways to lock the lost cell phone or get limited information, but the owner could not automatically receive more information of the lost cell phone, such as the thief’s voice/photo/location information which will help to detect and locate the cell phone and provide more possibility to get back the lost cell phone. This invention proposes the method and system for detecting and locating the lost cell phone by leveraging voice identification, camera and AGPS function of the cell phone to provide detailed information to the cell phone owner. The action of detection, information collection, and information sending are all automatically performed by the cell phone itself.

Method and System for Detecting and Locating Lost Cell Phone

Currently, some solutions have been provided to protect or retrieve information of the lost cell phone. For example, fingerprint identification to only allow the owner to unlock the cell phone; SIM card displacing will invoke to send the new SIM card number to the specified cell phone number; Cell phone could be locked by receiving a special message, etc. These solutions provide various ways to lock the lost cell phone or get limited information, but the owner could not automatically receive more information of the lost cell phone, such as the thief's voice/photo/location information which will help to detect and locate the cell phone and provide more possibility to get back the lost cell phone.

This invention proposes the method and system for detecting and locating the lost cell phone by leveraging voice identification, camera and AGPS function of the cell phone to provide detailed information to the cell phone owner. The action of detection, information collection, and information sending are all automatically performed by the cell phone itself.

The main idea of this invention is to leverage voice identification to detect cell phone being lost by itself, and then automatically invoke the camera and AGPS function of the cell phone to take photos and get location information, and then send the new voice piece, photos and location information to pre-specified cell phone number or email address. With this invention, users could automatically receive more information of the lost cell phone very first time, and accelerate the process to get back the lost cell phone.

This invention has the following advantages:

Firstly, cell phone lost is detected by the cell phone itself by leveraging voice identification;

Secondly, once the cell phone detects it is lost, it will record the new voice, and invoke the cell phone camera to take photos, and cell phone AGPS to get its current location information. All these actions are automatically invoked by cell phone itself.

Thirdly, the new voice piece, photos and location information will be sent to the pre-specified cell phone number or email address. With detailed information, users could have more clues to get back the lost cell phone.

In all, with this invention, detecting and locating the lost cell phone will become faster, more accurate and intelligent.
