Abstract

Currently used hearing aids have different components to support individual functions. For example there is a push button to provide program changes and an extra button for volume control. It is proposed to use a single multifunctional push button with the corresponding software to provide various functions to control the hearing aid. With the help of the software the push button can be configured for different functions, by using various combinations of "click", "push" and "hold". The advantage of the proposed solution is that the number of hearing aid components can be reduced, thus reducing the manufacturing costs. By utilizing fewer components the possibility of a defect decreases and the size of the hearing aid can be reduced. The proposed solution enables an optimization of surface space between the components on the surface to be more user-friendly.
