Method and System for Dynamically Changing the Homepage of Multiple

Disclosed is a method and system for dynamically changing the homepage of multiple browsers.

The figure illustrates a flow diagram of a method of dynamically changing the homepage of multiple browsers. A timer is initiated when a user opens a browser. Thereafter, the timer records an amount of time the user spends on a predefined homepage of the browser. The amount of time corresponds to a time until which the user performs one or more actions, the one or more actions including switching to another tab or a window, opening another website subsequent to the loading of the homepage, and preventing the homepage from loading completely and opening another website instead. The method and system thereafter checks if the amount of time is less than a predefined time limit. A hashmap with the site frequency and a counter corresponding to the number of times the user has performed the one or more actions is maintained. Accordingly, the method and system disclosed herein, checks the hashmap for a website with a maximum frequency of visits. The website is set as homepage on all browsers installed on a computer of the user. Subsequently a pop-up message indicating the change in the homepage is displayed to the user. Further, the user is provided with a dialog box which enables the user to retain the changed homepage or revert to the previously set homepage.
