Abstract

Positive Locking Trapezoid Lock Block would be used on an ACME connection to prevent the connection from unscrewing. This could be used on any tool that uses acme connection. The locking device would not be affected by vibrations or shock loads. Positive Locking Trapezoid Lock Block would be used on an ACME connection to prevent the connection from unscrewing. This could be used on any tool that uses acme connection. The locking device would not be affected by vibrations or shock loads. The acme connection would be screwed tight with lock block slid to one side. Once the connection is made up the block will be slid into the middle of the connection. Then a snap ring is placed in the groove to kept the block from sliding out. The block would be trapezoid shape to keep from falling out. The block would then take the load of the torque.
