Abstract

A method and system for improving connection of a mobile device with a cellular tower is disclosed. The method and system provide micro repeaters that offload registration process of the mobile device and localize the communication to the cellular tower using a flexible substrate in the walls of a building in which the mobile device is located.

Disclosed is a method and system for improving connection of a mobile device with a cellular tower using micro repeaters. The micro repeaters provided comprise of flexible substrates situated in the walls of a building in which the mobile device is located. The flexible substrate includes the necessary electrical components and cells for capturing, transferring, and transmitting information along a network of components. The flexible substrates are powered with a low-voltage connection to existing power sources present in the walls of the building.

The building in which the flexible substrates are located is registered with the cellular tower. Further, the users present in the building are registered with the building. Moreover, the building keeps each user of a mobile device registered until the user leaves the building or shuts off the mobile device.

In a scenario, when a user of a mobile device wants to connect to the cellular tower, the building provides the mobile device with the necessary circuitry so that the mobile device can obtain optimal signal strength without the need for increasing power on the mobile device. This is done by having the building identify location of the user, determining a distance of the mobile device from the walls, and emitting a controlled amount of power to the mobile device so that the mobile device does not have to increase its power in order to obtain optimal si...
