Abstract

Addition and removal of PCI adaptor cards in 1u servers requires removal of the top cover. By extension, the server must also be extracted from the rack on slides. This idea reorients the plugging direction PCI adaptor cards in a 1u server space, allowing a blind plug with minimal interaction with the server mechanicals.
