Abstract

A method and system for intelligently managing transport solutions based on events is disclosed. The method involves integrating an event system with a travel system for intelligently managing the transport solutions based on the events. The travel system includes a transportation system including, but not limited to, a subway, a train and a street transportation system. Further, the method involves integrating a control logic system with corresponding transportation system for intelligently managing the transport solutions.

Disclosed is a method and system for intelligently managing transport solutions based on events. The events may include, but are not limited to, concerts, games, and traffic

jams which may disrupt flow of traffic in subways, trains, or streets. The method

involves integrating an event system with a travel system for intelligently managing the transport solutions based on the events. The travel system includes a transportation system including, but not limited to, a subway, a train and a street transportation system. Further, the method also involves integrating a control logic system with corresponding transportation system for intelligently managing the transport solutions.

The method and system for intelligently managing the transport solutions based on the events is illustrated in Fig. 1.

As shown in Fig. 1, an event system is integrated with a travel system. Initially an event is scheduled and registered with a central data repository. Alternatively, the event may be registered with multiple distributed data repositories. Further, data pertaining to the event from the central data repository or the multiple distributed data repositories is registered with a control logic system for respective transportation systems. Based on the event, an appropriate control logic system allocates required travel resources for the event. The required travel resources allocated may be additional cars on the subways or additional trains. In addition, the streets may be altered to improve flow of traffic. Also, the number of traveling lanes at the tunnel or the bridge of a street may be increased to allow flow of traffic at increased capacity.

The method and system for intelligently managing transport solutions based on the events is also illustrated using the following description. Initially, the event system is integrated with a data repository system and control logic systems. The event system is integrated with each control logic system corresponding to transportation systems. The event system handles the events which may disrupt flow of traffic in subways, trains, or streets. The data repository system includes a central data repository or a distributed data repository. Further, each control logic system is interfaced with corresponding transportation systems such as subways, trains, and streets. The event system registers data pertaining to events in the data repository system. The data pertaining to events may include, but are not limited to, event name, date and time of occurrence of the event, location of occurrence of the event, location of ticket holders, means of commutation, real time update of number of seats sold, real time update of ticket cancellations.
