The figure 1 is an equalizing flow control device. In the injection mode, fluid enters the adapter_1 from tubing string, flows through the helical path and out of the adapter_2 into annular space. In production mode, this device can be integrated to sand screen acting as ICD. The uniqueness of this invention is the modularized design. Each equalizing unit has the identical connections as that of dapter_1 and adapter_2. The collet type connection makes it easy for assemble. If one unite is not able to provide the required pressure drop, multiple units can be put in series as showed in figure 2. The benefit of this modularized design is thatwhen a system is to be built to either produce or inject from/to a well which has multiple zones and each zone has a particular permeability, reservior pressure, with the modularized design, the system design can have the flexibility to use different numbers of such unit in each zone to provide the required pressure drop accordingly
