The main idea is to provide to the user with up to date voice information about the current traffic conditions on selected routes with use of mobile device localization capability. The traffic conditions information would be provided as an automated voice message. The idea focuses on reuse of existing GSM and telecommunication infrastructure for simple traffic information provision. The main goal of the idea was the simplicity of the solution that would not require any additional devices and infrastructure. The idea is to use mobile device as a voice messaging equipment that would provide current traffic information on selected routes. Therefore the system concentrates on two aspects: first, the voice messaging which allows more constant information provision and ease of use by car drivers, second - the localization of the mobile device with use of triangulation technology.

The system provides information about the current estimated travel time for selected routes between locations in range of the traffic detection systems. The information about the traffic is updated as the user changes his location. The information is provided to user in form of voice, text messages or integrated with the mobile equipment application such as GPS or handled.
The user would be able to select and predefine daily routes using web or mobile device. Then the traffic condition information on those routes will be provided as soon as the customer will trigger event conditions such as time and location, for example when leaving home in the morning or leaving the office in the afternoon towards the children's school or shopping center.
The system relies on mobile device localization capacity such as GSM triangulation (in case the mobile device has the GPS capability this can be also used). The localization of the mobile handheld is used in two situations: 1) initiation of the operation, 2) constant routing guidance. The verification of the initiation conditions checks if User requires guidance and if the system should be initiated, for example if the user is leaving his home and taking the route to work. If the initiation conditions are met the System automatically starts the routing guidance (Alternatively the system can be triggered by the user manually)
Once the system is operating the localization verification is used for routing purposes. This means the system constantly checks the current location of the mobile device and compares it with the defined routes as well as the traffic conditions. The user can be guided by voice, text or visual mode. In case of voice guiding the user gets voice messages which can be useful while driving, and the mobile device is connected with the car audio.
Currently there are many route-planner systems allowing calculation of the required route. The systems are based on GPS or Web devices. Require sophisticated graphical capability and equipment. The user need access to Web and is forced to analyze various options and the situation in near future. Additionally the information is inaccurate within minutes as the user leave the web. The users currently need very quick decisions and the information needs to be easily available.
Unless other route planner systems this system:
1. Provides the accurate information as the user is changing his position and is triggered by event that correlates the user location and other conditions such as time and date
2. Uses voice message to simplify information and release user hands while driving
3. Provides personalized information for pre-selected user routes
