Method And System For Accommodating Power -Cords With Distinct Diameters In A

Multiple-Diameter Strain Relief Or A Coil-Spring Strain Relief

Disclosed is a method and system for accommodating power-cords with distinct diameters in a multiple-diameter strain relief or a coil-spring strain relief. In an embodiment, power-cords with distinct diameters are accommodated in a multiple-diameter strain relief as illustrated in Fig. 1.

Figure 1

Fig. 1 includes a multiple-diameter strain relief 200. Multiple-diameter strain relief 200 further includes two L-shaped side-struts wire 201 configured to rotate around hinge points 202. L-shaped side-struts wire 201 is connected to omega-loops 203 and 204 in order to move omega-loops 203 and 204 in +/- Z-direction. As shown in Fig. 1, a power cord 213 has a smaller diameter than a power cord 214. Further, omega-loop 203 is configured to hold power cord 213 with a larger diameter. Alternatively, omega-loop 204 is configured to hold power cord 214 with a smaller diameter. Omega-loops 203 and 204 are designed in a manner having a circumference more than the circumference of a semi-circle in order to efficiently hold power cords. Therefore, multiple power cords with distinct diameters are accommodated in a multiple-diameter strain relief. In another embodiment, the multiple-diameter strain relief may have more than two omega-loops in order to hold more than two power cords with distinct diameters.
